May 2017 - Death Star Data Card

After the hype from Rogue One, I decided to 3D Model the prop that unites the prequel trilogy to the original Star Wars trilogy - the Death Star Data Card.

This was an interesting task for me as I layered multiple textures onto one Model, and UV Mapped/created normal maps for the first time in a model. Overall, I am happy with the results that came from renders. However, I feel I may re-visit the model as I never created a render I was truly happy with.

Also, finding reference Images to texture the data card was a challenge as it was barely visible in both Rogue One and a New Hope, therefore I had to rely on fan made replicas and altered screenshots to create my textures.
